If you’re living on the East Coast, you probably heard about the train crash in Connecticut on Friday night. I was aboard the Acela train right behind the accident en route from Boston to Bridgeport to write my MCAT exam, and then scheduled to head to NYC after my exam for graduation this week.
Our train was ordered to stop near New Haven due to the accident, and forced to head back to Boston. Given that it was evening, and car rental places were closed, this left me with little option but to basically no-show for my exam the next day. Needless to say, I will need to reschedule it, so now I’m just praying that I’ll be able to find a spot to write it on June 20th. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
It’s crazy how life works out. The accident happened at the exact stop that I needed to get off at. Had I gotten on the train just an hour earlier, I could have been in that accident. Thankfully, my boss needed me to work late, so I stayed at the office and took a later train. I feel blessed, and grateful, and promise to be a good person, because my Guardian Angel has been good to me.
A prayer goes out to those affected by the accident, and I really hope those in critical condition get well soon. It’s still shocking to think that this has happened. What a crazy year it’s been…
my mantra. ;)

Sending positive vibes to my lymphocytes to kick some ass real quick!!
MCAT in 7 days… with a work week ahead. AHHHHHHHH!
Down with the Sickness.
Getting sick is an occupational hazzard. Working in an environment that deals with this as a job description, I am constantly being coughed on, sneezed on, and in contact with surfaces contaminated with bodily fluids.
Sure, the immune system buffs up over time and I become less prone to infections, but it is not perfect.
Though my exam is fast approaching, I will need to take this weekend light.

Woke up yesterday with the worst cold symptoms of life, and spent the day and last night with a fever hovering around 102.
Words cannot even begin to describe how bad this timing is. MCAT in 9 days!! AHHHHHHH!
My brain is just like…
